Privacy Policy

Overview

DoWeVibe.ai is a dating service. You answer a set of compatibility questions that produce a “vibe score,” browse and match with other adults nearby, and arrange real, in-person dates. There is no open messaging. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information. We operate in the United States, the Service is only for adults (18+), we do not run ads inside the Service, and we do not sell your personal information.

Information We Collect

  1. Account and Contact. Phone number for SMS verification and sign-in, display name, a public profile identifier, and an email address if you choose to give one when you contact support.
  2. Compatibility Quiz. Your answers to our compatibility questions. We use these to calculate the vibe scores shown to you and to people you may match with.
  3. Dating Profile. Information you provide to take part in dating: your photos, gender, who you go on dates with, birth month and year (used to display your age), and height. If you create dates, we collect the date ideas you set up: the activity, venue, and photos. You may also add a LinkedIn profile handle. It is shown only to people you match with, and because it links to your LinkedIn page, those people can see your full name there.
  4. Photo Verification (optional). If you choose to verify your photos, you take a selfie in the app while making a gesture we ask for. A member of our team compares that selfie to your profile photos by eye. We do not use facial recognition software and we do not create a biometric template or faceprint. The selfie is stored privately, is never shown to other users, and is deleted as soon as we record a result, when you delete your account, or after 30 days at the latest, whichever comes first. We keep only the result, which appears as a badge on your profile.
  5. Location. Location access is required to create a dating profile. We use your device’s location to show you people and dates nearby, to display your general area (neighborhood or city, never your exact address) to others, and to confirm you are at the venue when you check in to a date. We also record the country where your account was created and show other users whether it matches the location you chose, as a safety signal.
  6. Activity in the Service. The likes and passes you make, your matches, your scheduling choices and check-ins, any reports you submit about other users, the feedback you give after a date (shown to the other person only as combined, anonymous results once they have been on at least five dates), messages you send to support, and the reason you give if you delete your account.
  7. Device and Usage. Basic logs such as IP address, device type, app version, push-notification token, time zone, locale, and timestamps, used for notifications, security, and service operations.
  8. Payments. If you buy date tickets or other paid features, the App Store and our purchase processor handle the transaction. We receive limited records such as amount and status; we never receive your full payment-card details.

How We Use Information

  1. Operate the Service: calculate vibe scores, power discovery, form matches, and schedule and confirm real dates.
  2. Show your profile, photos, date ideas, and vibe-score compatibility to other adult users you may match with.
  3. Keep the Service safe: verify accounts and photos, detect fraud and fake or duplicate profiles, operate the reporting, blocking, strike, and no-show systems, and verify date check-ins.
  4. Communicate with you about account activity, matches, and dates by push notification and SMS, and reply to your support messages.
  5. Understand how the Service is used and whether our advertising is working, as described under Analytics and Advertising Measurement.
  6. Comply with law and enforce our Terms.

What Other Users Can See

Because DoWeVibe is a dating service, some information is shown to other adult users in the app by design: your photos, display name, age, height, general area (neighborhood or city), the gender you select, your date ideas, your verification badges, and your vibe-score compatibility with the person viewing. When someone views your vibe score they can open a question by question comparison that shows which answer each of you chose. People you match with can open your LinkedIn page if you added one. If someone shares one of your date ideas by link, the shared page shows the date idea (activity, venue, and photo) but not your name or your photos. Your phone number, exact date of birth, and exact location or address are never shown to other users.

Sensitive Information

Some information you provide, such as your precise location and information about who you date, may be considered “sensitive” under certain laws. We use it only to provide the dating Service and the safety features described in this Policy. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell or share it.

Analytics and Advertising Measurement

The app includes analytics from Google Firebase and an advertising measurement kit from Meta. We use them to understand how the app is used and whether our ads on Instagram lead to installs and sign-ups. We send Meta a small set of app events (the app was opened, a sign-up was completed, a purchase was made) together with device information. We do not use Apple’s advertising identifier and we do not ask to track you across other companies’ apps. We do not run ads inside the Service and we do not sell your personal information. On our website we use only essential cookies or local storage plus limited first-party analytics. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law.

Sharing with Service Providers

We use trusted vendors to operate the Service, for example hosting and infrastructure, authentication and SMS verification, database and photo storage, push notifications, abuse prevention and app attestation, analytics and advertising measurement (Google, Meta), and payment processing. Providers may process personal information on our behalf and must protect it and use it only for our instructions. We do not sell your personal information.

Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, then delete or de-identify it. You can request deletion of your account at any time. Some information may be retained if required by law, to resolve disputes, or to maintain security and safety records such as reports and strike history. Messages you send to support are kept so we can follow up. We may keep statistics that have had everything identifying removed, for example how many accounts were deleted in a month and the reasons given. Photo verification selfies follow the shorter retention described under Photo Verification above.

Your Choices and Rights

  1. Access or Update. You can view and update your profile, photos, date ideas, and LinkedIn handle in the app.
  2. Delete. You can request deletion of your account and associated content using the in-app option or by contacting support.
  3. Location. Location is required to create a dating profile. You control location access afterwards in your device settings. Turning it off limits nearby matching and the date check-in feature.
  4. Photo Verification. Verification is optional. You can skip it during sign-up and do it later from your profile, or never.
  5. Notifications. Manage push notifications in your device settings. You can opt out of service texts by replying STOP, though this may affect verification and your ability to use the Service.

California Notice

We provide a “notice at collection” in this Policy. Categories collected: identifiers such as phone number, public profile identifier, and an email address if you provide one; characteristics such as age, gender, and who you date; commercial information such as purchases; internet and device activity logs; precise geolocation; user content such as photos (including an optional verification selfie), quiz answers, date feedback, and support messages; and inferences such as your vibe score. Purposes: account creation, verification, matching and scheduling, safety and fraud prevention, payments, analytics and advertising measurement, and compliance. Sensitive personal information (precise geolocation and information about who you date) is used only to provide the Service and is not sold or shared. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You have rights to know, delete, correct, and limit the use of sensitive data where applicable. Submit requests to support@dowevibe.ai. We will verify your request before responding, and we recognize applicable browser privacy signals where required by law.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your account and device.

International Users

Our Service is intended for users in the United States. If you access the Service from another region, you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in the United States.

Children

The Service is for adults only. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and we have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation. If you believe a minor has provided information, or you see content that exploits or endangers a minor, contact us at support@dowevibe.ai and we will act promptly.

Changes

We may update this Policy. If changes are material, we will post a notice or request new consent where required.
